Madhuri Dixit needs no introduction. The Dhak Dhak girl has ruled the entertainment industry for decades, all thanks to her acting and dance prowesses. On the occasion of her 57th birthday today, B-town celebrities and fans have flooded social media handles with heartfelt wishes. Joining in, Kajol penned a heartwarming note for her friend on the special day.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kajol shared a throwback video with Madhuri from designer Manish Malhotra’s 2022 Diwali bash. In the clip, the two were seen bonding and singing the iconic track Dancing Queen by Abba. “Happy birthday to the OG Dancing Queen.. may u tap away into the coming year as well Madhuri Dixit,” Kajol wrote.

Earlier during an interview with Zoom, Kajol called Madhuri an underrated actor who deserved much more than what she had received. “I feel she hasn’t been given the opportunities she actually deserves,” said Kajol.

Apart from Kajol, Madhuri’s husband Dr Sriram Nene also penned a sweet birthday wish for the actress. Sharing a montage of adorable pictures with his better half on Instagram, Dr Nene captioned the post, “Happy birthday to the woman who dances through life with grace, charm, and a killer smile! You light up our lives in ways words can’t express. We love you endlessly!”

Madhuri and Dr Nene tied the knot back in 1999. She relocated to the USA with her husband. After a hiatus, Madhuri made her acting comeback in 2011.

Work-wise, Madhuri recently turned produced for a Marathi film Panchak which was released in January this year. Her last film appearance was in Maja Ma which premiered on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Helmed by Anand Tiwari, the film also starred Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik and Barkha Singh in pivotal roles.
