The Education Department of Rajasthan has started a new initiative, in which the students and teachers will be awarded five marks extra if they plant trees. In this way, if the students score low marks in exams or the teacher’s performance is poor, then the planted trees can help to add extra marks. These trees will increase the marks of students and get teachers transferred to their desired places. In all the government schools of Rajasthan, every child will be given the responsibility to plant five trees. They will have to plant these trees on the school premises. The tree planted by the child will have the name of the student and details on it.

The number of trees that remain intact till the end of the session will be proportional to the number of marks added to the annual report card of the student. Each tree will carry one point. If a teacher plants a tree and it survives for a year, then the number of the tree will also be added to the total number of numbers generated during transfers.

This time the entire focus of the government is on tree plantation. The Education Department has made the policy, ‘Plant A Tree Get A Number.’

Apart from this, after the order of the Panchayati Raj Department, tree plantation will be done in the entire state on August 8. On this day, the Amrit Mahotsav of tree plantation will be inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. On August 8, during the plantation drive, if more than 200 saplings are planted, then a helper will be arranged by the government to help the village. Geotagging will also be done by the government on the saplings.

The BJP-led govt in Rajasthan is moving towards the green cover of the state. It has announced plans to plant 7 crore trees under a massive plantation drive. Additionally, Rs 4,000 crore will be invested over five years under Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan. Apart from this, to reduce pollution and carbon emissions in tiger reserves, including Ranthambore and Sariska, the govt is set to introduce an electric-vehicle (EV) based transport system for pilgrims visiting Trintetra Ganeshji and Pandupole.
